The Role

As a Graduate Tax Trainee, you’ll begin developing the technical and professional skills needed for a career in tax accounting. Your work will cover  a variety of areas of personal tax, giving you a broad grounding while you build confidence and take on more responsibility. Alongside day-to-day client work, you’ll have full study support towards a tax qualification such as ATT and then CTA. The training contract is designed to give you room to learn, improve and demonstrate your potential, with salary reviews linked to exam results and work performance.

• Prepare tax returns across corporate and personal tax work.
• Support senior team members with client assignments and ongoing work.
• Research tax topics and contribute to project-related tasks.
• Build your technical understanding through practical, varied experience.
• Develop professional communication skills through client-focused work.

What Do You Need?

• Achieved a 2:1 (or equivalent) in your degree
• AAB (or equivalent) A Level results 
• Degrees in accounting, finance, business, management or economics are of particular interest; however, all degrees will be considered if you have a demonstrable interest in tax
• Some evidence of an interest in tax would be a bonus
• Ideally, evidence of extra-curricular interests and work experience
• Ideally, some connection to the Brighton and Hove area
• Available to immediately
