The Governors of Lostock C of E Primary school are seeking an intuitive, positive and motivated teaching assistant to work with children in Key Stage 1 and to support children with special educational needs.

The post will be initially a temporary, 12-month contract position starting as soon as possible.

Lostock Gralam C of E Primary is a warm and welcoming school with strong Christian and family values that underpin the whole education of our children, and is part of Chester Diocesan Learning Trust (CDLT).

The post holder will be able to support children in order that they can achieve their full potential; the role will be a mix of class-based support alongside an experienced teacher and supporting SEN children in KS1. The successful candidate will have a desire to put the child at the heart of all their actions, be hard working and an advocate of the school’s positive behaviour policy. Experience of teaching phonics is essential to the role.

The successful candidate will work 24 hours a week, Monday to Wednesday, 8:30am-12:30pm and Thursday and Friday 8:30am-3:00pm.
