About the role

Job summary

The Army Personnel Centre is seeking a motivated and organised Executive Officers within the Career Management Operations Branch to support the delivery of key Army personnel management processes. Working within a collaborative team, you will coordinate complex casework, board and governance activity, manage personnel information, and provide advice to a wide range of stakeholders. You will play an important role in ensuring personnel decisions, appointments, promotions and employment matters are managed accurately, consistently and in accordance with established policy, contributing directly to Army capability and operational effectiveness

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate administrative processes, casework and board activity to ensure delivery against business priorities and deadlines.
  • Analyse, validate and maintain personnel information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with data management requirements.
  • Prepare reports, submissions, board papers and correspondence for senior decision makers and stakeholders.
  • Provide advice and guidance on policies, procedures and personnel management matters.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, delivering a high standard of customer service.
  • Monitor workflows and competing priorities, identifying risks and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities by reviewing processes and implementing practical solutions.
  • Work collaboratively across teams to support wider organisational objectives and operational requirements.

Essential Skills Required:

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience of managing administrative processes, casework or governance activities.
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures and guidance accurately and consistently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear and accurate documentation
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with a customer focused approach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and the ability to work confidently with data and digital systems.
