Press Brake Setter Operator (Nights)

This role involves setting up and operating press brake machines to precisely bend and shape sheet metal components according to engineering specifications. Duties * Set up press brake machines by selecting appropriate tooling and programming the machine based on technical drawings and specifications. * Operate press brakes efficiently to produce accurate bends in sheet metal materials, ensuring adherence to quality standards. * Conduct routine inspections of finished parts for dimensional accuracy and surface quality, making adjustments as necessary. * Use hand tools and measuring devices such as calipers, protractors, and tape measures to verify part specifications. * Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. * Assist with tooling changes, adjustments, and maintenance procedures to optimize machine performance. * Support assembly processes by preparing bent components for further fabrication or installation. Experience * Prior experience with fabrication processes including bending, grinding, welding, or related manufacturing tasks. * Mechanical knowledge of sheet metal properties, tooling setups, and press brake operations. * Familiarity with hand tools, measuring instruments, and basic math skills for precise adjustments. * Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in a manufacturing environment. * Experience working with sheet metal components and understanding of assembly procedures is preferred. * Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately. * Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting machine issues.
