🛠The Role
As a Welder, you’ll play a key role in the production of steel fabrication projects. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality welds that meet engineering specifications and industry standards, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to deadline.
📋 Key Responsibilities

Weld metal components in line with engineering drawings and specifications

Carry out flat welds and correctly set plant (amps and current) for vertical up welds

Perform all types of MIG welding to high standards using engineering drawings and jig arrangements

Set up welding plant and gas correctly before commencing work
-
Deposit welds that pass both visual and NDE examinations
-
Read and interpret weld symbols on engineering drawings
-
Work in accordance with SHE standards, including fume control procedures
-
Operate power and hand tools to cut, shape, and assemble metal components
-
Inspect finished welds and complete adjustments or repairs as required

Maintain a safe and organised working environment
👤 About You
-
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Welder

NVQ Level 2/3 in Welding & Fabrication
-
Proficient in MMA 131 welding
-
Experience in 2G Flat / 3G Vertical / 4F Overhead welding

Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings and weld symbols
-
Skilled in using power tools and fabrication equipment
-
Strong attention to detail and quality standards

Good mathematical skills for accurate measurements

Ability to assemble fabricated components into finished products
