After School Play Leader (with optional Breakfast Club role)

We are looking for a kind, enthusiastic and reliable Play Leader to join our wraparound care team at Somerfords’ Walter Powell, part of The Vine Schools. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to children's lives by creating a fun, safe and nurturing environment at the end of the school day.

Hours:
After School Club: 3:00pm - 6:00pm (Monday to Thursday, term time only)

Pay: Wiltshire Grade L/M depending on experience
Location: Somerfords’ Walter Powell Primary School, part of The Vine Schools

About the role:
As our After School Play Leader, you will lead engaging, age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities for children in EYFS, KS1 and KS2. You will create a warm, welcoming environment that reflects our school values of kindness, respect and resilience. The role involves supporting children with snacks and a light tea (training in Food Hygiene and First Aid will be provided), ensuring high standards of care and safety at all times, and working closely with school staff and parents.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is caring, creative and calm under pressure
• Has experience working with children or a keen interest in doing so
• Works well as part of a team but is confident using their initiative
• Is willing to complete training in safeguarding, food hygiene and paediatric first aid

Food will be served daily, so hygiene standards and helping with tidying up are expected. There will be plenty of fun and laughter along the way too.

Term time only - school holidays are yours to enjoy.
