Year 6 teacher

Desian Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Warrington that is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate primary teacher who is committed to helping pupils achieve their full potential during this crucial stage of their education. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons, support pupils as they prepare for SATs and secondary school transition, and contribute positively to the school’s thriving learning environment.

Your new role

As a Year 6 Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Prepare pupils for SATs assessments through high-quality teaching and targeted support.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
• Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to pupils and parents.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and senior leaders.
• Inspire confidence, resilience and a love of learning.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6.
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and assessment requirements.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Passion for raising attainment and supporting pupil development.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• ECTs with relevant placement experience are encouraged to apply.
