Teaching Assistant – Reception

We are looking for a warm, nurturing and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream primary school in the DN9 area, supporting children in Reception.

The successful candidate will help create a positive and engaging learning environment, supporting children’s development through play-based learning and structured classroom activities.

You will be responsible for:

• Supporting children’s learning through the Early Years curriculum
• Helping with phonics, early reading and communication
• Supporting children during continuous provision
• Encouraging social development and independence
• Working with individuals and small groups
• Supporting the class teacher with daily classroom activities

The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children and understand the importance of creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment.
