Year 6 Teacher – Full-Time

Location: DN4 area
Start Date: Within the next 4 weeks
Contract: Full-time, temporary
Duration: Initially 2 months, with the potential to be extended

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 6 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in the DN4 area on a full-time basis.

This position is to provide sickness cover, initially for at least a couple of months, with the possibility that the placement could continue for longer.

The successful teacher will be confident teaching across the Year 6 curriculum, have high expectations of pupils, and be able to quickly establish positive relationships within the school. You will be supported by a friendly and experienced team and will play an important role in maintaining continuity for the class during the absence.

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Have experience teaching in Year 6 or across Key Stage 2
• Be confident planning and delivering engaging lessons
• Have strong classroom management skills
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
• Be adaptable, reliable and able to settle quickly into a new school environment
