£19.74 per hour | Continental 4 on 4 off | Temp to Perm
Location: Darley Dale
Pay: £19.74 per hour – Continental / £15.37 per hour – Days Regular
Shift options available:
- Continental: 4 on 4 off – 2 x 06:00–18:00 / 2 x 18:00–06:00 – £19.74 per hour
- Days Regular: Monday–Friday day shift – £15.37 per hour
Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are currently recruiting for Welfare Operatives / Industrial Cleaners to join a busy heavy industrial recycling site in Darley Dale.
We have two shift options available, including a Continental 4 on 4 off shift pattern and a Days Regular Monday–Friday position.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with previous cleaning, industrial cleaning, welfare, housekeeping or general industrial experience who is looking for reliable ongoing work.
The Role
As a Welfare Operative / Industrial Cleaner, you will be responsible for keeping the site's welfare and communal areas clean, safe and hygienic.
Duties will include:
- Cleaning toilets, showers and changing areas
- Cleaning canteen and welfare facilities
- Emptying bins and removing general waste
- Washing workwear
- Cleaning respirator masks
- Maintaining clean and tidy welfare areas
- Carrying out general cleaning duties across the site
- Following site Health & Safety procedures
- Working as part of a team within a busy industrial recycling environment
The working environment can be hot, dusty and noisy, and you will be required to wear the appropriate PPE, which will be provided.
The site also operates strict hygiene procedures, with employees required to shower and change at each break.
About You
We're looking for candidates who are:
- Reliable and hardworking
- Comfortable working in a heavy industrial environment
- Ideally experienced in cleaning, industrial cleaning, welfare or housekeeping
- Physically capable of working on your feet throughout the shift
- Able to follow Health & Safety procedures
- Comfortable working around dust, noise and industrial machinery
- Flexible and willing to work the required shift pattern
Pay & Benefits
- £19.74 per hour – Continental 4 on 4 off
- £15.37 per hour – Days Regular, Monday–Friday
- Full PPE provided
- Ongoing work
- Continental position offers temp-to-perm after 16 qualifying weeks
