Interim Commercial Accountant / Finance Analyst – Power BI:

Online Retail | Rugby (Hybrid) | Interim

A fast-growing ecommerce/ online retail business is looking for a finance professional who can turn data into decisions.
This is a hands-on role. You will build a reporting suite from scratch in Power BI, working closely with the CRM and MI systems to bring together conversion rates, cost per lead, discounting and profitability by channel and customer type. People cost is the biggest cost of sale in the business, so a key part of this role is helping the leadership team understand and estimate that more accurately, job by job.

You will not just be building reports, you will be shaping how the business uses data going forward, working with Power BI’s building blocks to get information into a data cube structure so the team can move faster and more efficiently as they scale.

What you will need

• Strong, proven Power BI skills — building reports, not just running them
• A finance analyst or commercial accountant background
• Comfortable working with large, complex datasets
• Available for an interim assignment

What would help

• Online retail experience
• Experience working with CRM/MI systems as a data source for reporting
• Experience building data cubes or similar structures for future-proofed reporting

This is a chance to build something from the ground up, working closely with an impressive SLT  who wants to genuinely use data to drive the business forwards. 

Salary dependent on experience.
