About the role
Core Trainee - General Medicine (Respiratory Additional Weekend)
Locum Core Trainee (CT/F2/IMT/ST/GP level) required for additional Respiratory Medicine weekend cover at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. Recurring weekend shifts from November 2026 through January 2027 at an assignment rate of £50/hr.
This is a supplementary weekend rota for the Respiratory Medicine service at the RVH. Shifts are Saturday and Sunday, 08:00–14:00, providing additional junior doctor cover for respiratory inpatients over weekends. The rota includes holiday cover over Christmas and New Year.
You will be responsible for respiratory ward rounds, reviewing inpatients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions, managing NIV and oxygen therapy, and liaising with the respiratory SpR on call. Experience in respiratory medicine or acute medicine is desirable.
Candidates must hold valid GMC registration with a licence to practise, up-to-date AccessNI clearance, right to work in the UK, and a minimum of two professional references.
