What You'll Be Doing: Programming & Setting: Operate and programme 5-axis CNC machining centres to create intricate components. Optimisation: Utilise Siemen controls to develop and enhance machining programmes for maximum efficiency. CAD/CAM Mastery: Leverage your skills in CAD/CAM, particularly Fusion 360, to work from 3D models, engineering drawings, and GD&T. Tool Selection: Choose the right tooling, fixtures, and cutting data to ensure optimal performance. Cycle Time Improvements: Prove out new jobs and actively drive enhancements in cycle times. Problem-Solving: Diagnose and resolve machining and process issues as they arise. Continuous Improvement: Support initiatives that enhance quality, safety, and overall shop floor standards. What We're Looking For: Experience: Strong background in 5-axis CNC milling, including programming and setting. Technical Skills: Proficiency with Siemen controls and experience in CAD/CAM software (Fusion 360 preferred). Blueprint Literacy: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T. Mindset: A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a commitment to seeing projects through. Desirable (Not Essential): Familiarity with Fanuc controls.
