About the role

Quality Engineer
Key Responsibilities

Implement and assure quality management systems and construction assurance processes on major infrastructure programmes.
Monitor, analyse, and report on quality performance metrics and assurance activities.
Collect, validate, and manage quality data from multiple sources to maintain accuracy and integrity.
Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualisations for informed decision-making.
Analyse trends, risks, non-conformances, and quality indicators to identify improvement opportunities.
Prepare concise programme-level reports, dashboards, and management information packs.
Support audits, inspections, and compliance reporting.
Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to interpret and integrate quality requirements.
Coordinate reporting inputs from multiple stakeholders to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Promote continuous improvement through data-driven insights and recommendations.

 
Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Construction Assurance within infrastructure, civil engineering, rail, or highways.
Strong knowledge of construction quality assurance processes and quality management systems.
Proficiency in Power BI for reporting, dashboards, and data visualisation.
Experience in data source management, verification, and validation.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex datasets.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
Ability to produce accurate, insightful management and performance reports.
Excellent communication skills with confidence in engaging stakeholders at all levels.
Strong organisational and coordination skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.

 
Desirable Skills & Experience

Experience on large-scale rail or highways projects.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
Familiarity with construction assurance frameworks, audits, and governance requirements.
Understanding of engineering, construction, and technical delivery processes for transportation infrastructure.
Experience with programme-level reporting and performance management.
