FLT driver/General Op Role - 3 shift patterns (Ad Hoc)

Job Opportunity: FLT & General Operative (Hybrid Role)

Position Type: Temporary - Ongoing

Location: Spring Road, Wigan (WN5 0LB)

Pay Rate: £20.20 per hour

This position operates on double days (rotating mornings and afternoons) or night shifts. Full flexibility across all shift patterns is required.

Monday to Thursday:

• Morning Shift: 05:50 AM - 01:50 PM

• Afternoon Shift: 01:50 PM - 09:50 PM (Weekly rotation)

• Night Shift: 09:50 PM - 05:50 AM

Friday (Reduced Hours):

• Morning Shift: 05:30 AM - 12:30 PM

• Afternoon Shift: 12:30 PM - 07:30 PM

• Night Shift: 07:30 PM - 02:30 AM

In this dual-capacity role, team members handle a blend of standard production duties alongside forklift operations:

• Prepare, manufacture, and dispatch diverse food items within a fast-paced production setting.

• Combine traditional FLT operation with machine and line work on the plant floor.

• Transport raw ingredients, finished products, and packaged goods for dispatch.

• Collaborate with the team to uphold product quality standards.

• Adapt to training and deployment across different factory units as operational needs change.

• Mandatory: At least 6 months of experience operating a forklift truck.

• Mandatory: An active, accredited FLT Counterbalance license.

• Desirable: Prior experience working in food manufacturing or production environments.

• Reliable arrangements for traveling to and from the site.

• Strong attention to detail and the capacity to work autonomously.

• Flexibility to switch seamlessly between manufacturing tasks and FLT duties.
