HVAC Engineer

Up to £42,000 per annum
Monday - Friday | 40 Hours Per Week

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HVAC Engineer to join the engineering team in Gateshead. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a large-scale, fast-paced critical environment, supporting the maintenance and operation of HVAC and mechanical building services systems across the site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, fault finding, and repairs across a range of HVAC equipment and associated mechanical systems. You will play a key role in ensuring plant reliability, system efficiency, and compliance within a busy operational facility.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on HVAC and mechanical systems
- Fault finding, servicing, and repair of air conditioning and ventilation equipment
- Maintain AHUs, FCUs, chillers, and associated plant equipment
- Ensure all works are completed in line with health & safety and compliance standards
- Support plant room inspections and routine maintenance tasks
- Complete maintenance reports and documentation accurately
- Work collaboratively with the wider engineering and site teams

Requirements
- F-Gas Category 1 qualification (essential)
- Previous experience within a commercial maintenance or FM environment
- Strong HVAC fault-finding and maintenance experience
- Good understanding of mechanical building services systems
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Package
- Salary up to £42,000
- Monday to Friday working pattern
