HSE Manager
Summary
An experienced HSE Manager (COMAH Experienced) is required to join a major engineering project on a full-time, permanent basis. This hybrid role combines time on-site in Grangemouth with remote working, providing an excellent opportunity for a health, safety and environment professional to make an impact on a key EPC contract.
Location and Working Pattern
Grangemouth
Hybrid working: Minimum four days on-site, one day remote
Full-time, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities
Oversee the QHSE function to ensure compliance with company, industry, and statutory standards
Act as HSE representative at project level, providing support and expert advice to teams and stakeholders
Support project leadership in planning and implementing HSE objectives in line with contractual requirements
Liaise with regulatory bodies, external agencies, and industry groups
Monitor compliance with HSE regulations and gather, analyse and report safety statistics
Conduct risk assessments, audits and ensure robust control measures are in place
Develop and lead HSE audits and investigations, identifying root causes and corrective actions
Distribute safety alerts, action plans and implement effective induction programmes for new personnel
Drive a positive HSE culture and continuous improvement across all project activities
Must-have Requirements
Proven experience in an HSE leadership or management role
Strong understanding of HSE legislation and industry standards within engineering or EPC environments
Comprehensive knowledge and experience of COMAH regulations and compliance
Skilled in audits, incident investigations and development of HSE strategies
Excellent communication and engagement skills with all levels of stakeholders
Nice-to-have Skills
Previous experience within the energy sector
Knowledge of integrated management systems
