About the role
Ipswich | £350 per day | 6 Month Contract | 5 Days On Site (lab based work)
We're supporting a major telecommunications organisation that is investing heavily in next-generation broadband and connectivity platforms.
They are looking for an experienced Automation Test Engineer to join a highly technical engineering team responsible for developing and maintaining automated testing solutions across broadband and home networking products.
What You'll Be Doing
- Developing Python-based automation test scripts
- Building and improving CPE test environments
- Supporting broadband and home gateway product testing
- Working within Agile delivery teams
- Troubleshooting complex technical issues
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Using Git, GitLab and JIRA to support delivery
Technical Requirements
- Strong Python experience
- Linux administration knowledge
- Docker and containerisation
- Virtual machine environments
- Git / GitLab
- Agile and Scrum environments
- Broadband technologies including:
- FTTP
- xDSL
- IPv4 / IPv6
- PPP
- Wi-Fi
- UPnP
- 4G / 5G
- CPE / Home Gateway testing experience
- RF fundamentals
- Wireless networking expertise
- Telecoms industry experience
