About the Live-in Carer job in Chichester

Medicare People is looking for compassionate Live-in Carer in Chichester who want to help people live independently and comfortably within their own homes. Through personalised one-to-one support, you'll play an important role in improving the wellbeing and quality of life of those in your care.

As a Live-in Carer in Chichester, you'll provide practical and emotional support that is tailored to each individual. This may include assistance with personal care, companionship, mobility, medication reminders, meal preparation, and everyday household tasks.

We understand that flexibility is important, which is why we offer a range of placements to suit different lifestyles and commitments. You'll also receive ongoing support from an experienced and approachable management team.

Our live-in care placements are available across Chichester and surrounding areas, allowing us to match you with clients who benefit from your skills and experience.

What you'll do

• Deliver high-quality live-in care within clients' homes
• Build trusting relationships with clients
• Support personal care and grooming routines
• Assist with mobility and moving around the home
• Prepare meals and drinks throughout the day
• Provide companionship and reassurance
• Administer medication in line with care plans
• Help keep the home clean, safe and comfortable
• Support with shopping and collecting prescriptions
• Monitor health and wellbeing
• Maintain clear and accurate care notes
• Work as part of a wider care team

What you'll bring

• A minimum of 6 months' UK care experience
• A friendly, caring and supportive nature
• Excellent communication skills
• Confidence supporting clients within their own homes
• The ability to work independently and responsibly
• A flexible approach to care and changing needs
• Reliability, professionalism and a positive attitude
• A commitment to dignity, respect and person-centred care
• Right to work in the UK
• Experience administering medication is desirable
• Previous live-in care experience is welcomed but not essential
