Sandy, Central Bedfordshire SC ENGINEERING Welder / Fabricator Sandy, Bedfordshire Permanent Up to £20.00 per hour + overtime We are currently recruiting for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join a well-established engineering manufacturer based in Sandy, Bedfordshire. This is a permanent, workshop-based position offering long-term stability, a competitive hourly rate and regular overtime opportunities. The Role: * TIG and MIG welding of stainless steel * Fabricating components and assemblies from engineering drawings * Working with stainless steel from approximately 1mm–12mm thickness * Pipework and purge welding * Cutting, forming, grinding and finishing components * Operating fabrication and sheet metal machinery * Working accurately to tolerances and specifications * Carrying out quality checks on completed work * Maintaining high standards of workmanship and Health & Safety The Candidate: * Previous experience as a Welder / Fabricator * Strong TIG welding experience * Stainless steel fabrication experience * Ability to read and work from engineering drawings * Experience using fabrication and workshop machinery * Good attention to detail and quality * City & Guilds, NVQ or apprenticeship in Welding/Fabrication would be advantageous Package: * Up to £20.00 per hour depending on experience * Permanent position * 39-hour working week * Monday to Friday * Overtime available at enhanced rates * Company pension * Annual bonus * Sick pay scheme * Life assurance * 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays, increasing with service * Workwear provided This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Welder / Fabricator looking for a secure, long-term position with an established engineering business.
