About the role
Materials Controller / Buyer, Maldon, Essex
£30,000 to £35,000 per annum
Permanent | Full Time | Monday to Friday
We are recruiting an experienced Materials Controller / Buyer to join an established manufacturing business in Maldon, Essex. This role would suit someone with previous experience sourcing and purchasing electronic components within a manufacturing or production environment.
THE ROLE:
- Source electronic components, comparing supplier pricing and availability
- Purchase materials in line with customer requirements and agreed costs
- Identify and resolve material shortages and supply issues
- Liaise with suppliers regarding orders, returns and replacements
- Maintain accurate purchasing, materials and supplier information
- Work closely with production teams to ensure materials are available on time
- Assist with purchase order and invoice queries
- Purchase general consumables when required
ABOUT YOU:
- Previous experience purchasing or sourcing electronic components is essential
- Experience working with electronic component suppliers
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Confident using Excel, databases and internal purchasing systems
- Able to manage priorities within a busy manufacturing environment
