Vitalis are recruiting for an experienced Housing Support Worker in West Yorkshire.
We are looking to recruit a Housing Support Worker that will support clients moving from temporary accommodation into more permanent and suitable accommodation. Options will include supported accommodation, social housing and private sector. Ensuring the right ongoing support is in place is important to ensure tenancies are successful.
You must have experience of working with vulnerable people including singles and families and the different issues they may face, such as mental and physical health, substance misuse, financial difficulties and domestic abuse. Strong communication skills, welfare benefits knowledge.
Need to be a car user and to be able around the brough as will be visiting clients on their own and to be able to lone work
To be able to spot any safeguarding issues
Somone who has done this before as will need to hit the ground running
Will be either in the office or out on a visit, will need to cover a duty rota where they will help support any front line queries
Looking for experience who has dealt with complex needs before
Working with the client to place them into errancy accommodation and then working with them to move them to privately rented accommodation
Need to be able to commute to the office everyday and complete visits across the borough
