About the role

Administration Officer
Location: Croydon (Montague Court, 101 London Road, West Croydon, CR0 2RF)

* Full time, office based: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
* Pay: £15.59 per hour
* DBS level: Basic DBS (costs covered by the hiring process)
* Assignment: 6 months initially, with the possibility of extension
* Start date: ASAP (pending compliance checks)
* Training: HMCTS induction and role-specific training will be provided (duration to be confirmed)
* Interview process: Interviews via Microsoft Teams

Our Client is hiring two Administration Officers to support tribunal administration in a busy, people-focused environment. If you're organised, accurate, and confident communicating with others, we'd love to hear from you.


What you'll be doing:
* Processing tribunal applications and keeping records up to date on internal systems
* Creating, updating and maintaining accurate case records
* Producing and uploading court and tribunal documentation
* Preparing paper and digital files for tribunal hearings
* Handling enquiries via telephone, email, written correspondence and face-to-face
* Clerking tribunal hearings, including in person and via video hearings
* Supporting tribunal users, witnesses and representatives during hearings
* Carrying out general administration such as filing, photocopying and record management
* Managing your workload effectively in a fast-moving environment with competing priorities


What you'll bring:
* Previous administrative experience in a busy office setting
* Excellent customer service skills with a professional, empathetic approach
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
* High attention to detail and accuracy (you get things right first time)
* Competent IT and keyboard skills
* Confidence following procedures, while also using initiative when required
* A flexible, team-first attitude
