Drainage Engineer

Drainage EngineerI am recruiting for a Highway Drainage Engineer in Derby to support the Flooding and Drainage commissioning of various highway infrastructure assets drainage projects. Hybrid role, 6-month rolling contract, hourly rate is based on experience.
(Derbyshire County Council, Station Road, Darley Dale, Matlock, DE4 2EQ) 2 days per week. Contract period of six months, with the potential to extend depending on workload and budget availability
 
Key Responsibilities:

Manage cyclic, reactive, and planned works on the highway drainage network
Undertake site inspections and surveys as required
Support the collection and management of data relating to highway drainage assets
Provide timely and appropriate responses to customer and service user enquiries

 
Skills & Experience Required:

BTec Higher in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with relevant post-qualification experience
Strong technical and practical problem-solving abilities
Experience in highway drainage asset management and maintenance, or transferable skills from a similar field
These roles will work closely with other services across the Highways Division to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
