Specialist Support Worker

We're seeking experienced and passionate support workers or senior support workers committed to making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people. You'll join specialist teams providing high-level support, creating safe environments, and understanding the impact of trauma on young people's behaviors and communication.

What to expect:

• Dedicate your experience to a child or young person
• Provide day-to-day support (activities, appointments, family contact) - ideally with a driver's license and business insurance
• Engage and encourage participation in activities and structure
• Provide accurate reports for care plans and goals
• Play a critical role in safety and wellbeing

What you will bring:

To excel, you'll need to demonstrate:

• Experience supporting children and young people in a residential setting
• Confidence in de-escalating heightened behaviors and using de-escalation techniques
• Experience making decisions in challenging situations
• Understanding of detailed and accurate record-keeping and incident reporting
• Creativity in engaging and building trust
• Sound communication and judgment
• Clarity on protecting personal and professional boundaries

Skills and training:

• Ideally, a driver's license and business insurance
• DBS on update service or support for new application
• Registered with relevant regulatory body
• PMVA trained - ideally or willing to undertake training
