Arcihtectural Technician/ Technologist

Morson is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Architectural Technician to join an expanding technical team based in Romsey. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in producing high-quality working technical drawings for residential projects.
The role involves interpreting client briefs and producing detailed working drawings and technical documentation, ensuring full compliance with current legislation and standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Interpret client briefs and translate them into accurate technical drawings
- Produce detailed working drawings and supporting technical documents
- Ensure all work complies with the latest UK building regulations and legislation
- Assist in delegating projects to technicians within the team
- Oversee project timescales and ensure delivery targets are met
- Maintain high standards of quality control across all technical outputs
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and external stakeholders throughout project lifecycles

Key Skills and Experience Required
- Minimum of 5 years’ UK-based experience working on residential or mixed-use projects
- Experience working with developer clients and national housebuilders
- Strong technical understanding of UK building regulations
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Knowledge of M4 (Category 2 & 3) of the Nationally Described Space Standards (NDSS)
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Proactive attitude with a desire for continuous professional development (CPD)
- Full UK driving licence
