Job Title: Material Handler I

Location: Loughborough (Onsite)

Pay Rate: £13.20/hr (£26,083/yr equivalent)

Schedule: Full-Time, 38 hours/week | Mon: 06:00-14:30, Tue-Fri: 06:00-14:00 (Overtime available)

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable Material Handler to join our warehouse team. You will play a key role in ensuring goods are safely and accurately received, stored, picked, packed, and dispatched in line with Safety, Quality, and Delivery standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming goods against purchase orders or shipping notices.

  • Book inventory into the warehouse management system and store items in designated zones.

  • Pick, assemble, and package customer orders using radio data terminals.

  • Package and label goods (including cartons, pallets, and chemicals) securely for transport.

  • Sort and load outbound shipments onto delivery vehicles according to manifest sequences.

  • Operate manual handling and warehouse equipment safely in accordance with standard procedures.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen) and maintain quality standards.

Requirements

  • Prior warehouse experience (e.g., picking, packing, dispatch, or forklift operation).

  • Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English.

  • Strong teamwork, communication, and self-motivation skills.

  • Ability to meet productivity, safety, and quality targets in a warehouse environment.

  • Flexibility to support additional hours or shift requirements when needed.
